Odesa by touch — the city within reach
A socially oriented project making architectural landmarks accessible through touch.
Through Sandrobud, I was involved in Odesa by Touch, a socially oriented project built around tactile models of the city’s architecture. The models let people explore the shape and detail of familiar landmarks with their hands.
The 2019 photographs show the models in public space and at their unveiling. The 2020 archive film pairs the full-size buildings with their small-scale counterparts. I present this work as part of the company’s social contribution; authorship of the models and architectural landmarks belongs to their creators.
